Amanda Windon Joins the Piedmont Ortho Team

Piedmont Orthopaedic Complex is excited to welcome Amanda Windon to our team of orthopaedic providers. Amanda, a Certified Athletic Trainer, will serve Mount de Sales students and families as the school's official trainer.

Piedmont Orthopaedic Complex, who is considered a leader in sports medicine in Middle Georgia and has provided sports medicine coverage to schools in Bibb and surrounding counties for several decades, is looking forward to once again partnering with the school and proud to have Amanda serve as our on-site provider.

Similar to the other athletic trainers Piedmont has employed for years, Amanda will be on the sidelines and at practice ensuring student athletes are healthy and ready to play, promoting safety and overing initial assessment and treatment after an injury.

Amanda, who was born and raised in Middle Georgia, discovered her passion for sports medicine by serving as a training assistant while a student at Northside High School in Warner Robins. After graduating in 2013 from Georgia College and State University, Amanda accepted a position with Wesleyan College as the Head Athletic Trainer. She oversaw the care and prevention of injury in all of the college athletes and also coordinated physicals and sports medicine education for student athletes.

Amanda is looking forward to serving student athletes of all sports at Mount de Sales.
